Dynamic Fluid Dance Floor X Fluid Dynamic Floor Dance: DFDF X FDFD (2016)

Video: Perspex, Watercolour, Paper, Glue
Los Angeles, California, USA
Artists: Mick Lorusso & Dr. Olivia Osborne

This performance art piece explores fluid dynamics i.e. the science of fluids in motion. The Perspex with paper and transparent channels set the stage for the fluidic medium (watercolour). Cold and warm colours flow freely between the channel networks both on the Perspex and the paper creating a mutual flow between the artists. This leads to serendipitous fluid encounters to create laminar and turbulent flows in the pieces.

Dynamic Fluid Dance Floor X Fluid Dynamic Floor Dance: DFDF X FDFD (2016)

Installation: Video, Ice Dome Sculptures, Projector, Perspex, Food Colouring, Paper, Glue
Los Angeles, California, USA
Artists: Mick Lorusso & Dr. Olivia Osborne

Public interactive installation of which the viewer was encouraged to touch/interact/participate on the melting of the collaborative ice sculptures. In manipulating very small volumes of liquid, the public can begin to understand this complex phenomena of fluid dynamics from micro to macro.
