ABSTRACT/

Part of the CURRENT:LA WATER public art biennial, Water Canning is a collective water molecule sculpture consisting of glass jars containing water from the region that set the stage for a water awareness workshop that included instructions for creative tasks on the topic that participants can perform and upload to www.waterbodies.org. Dr. Olivia Osborne presented her research on how silver nanoparticles in consumer products potentially may end up in water bodies/rivers affecting the aquatic environment as well as nano/environmental issues/art interconnections. The public sculpture and workshop was developed with artists Mick Lorusso, Dawn Faelnar, Victoria Vesna, Claudia Jacques and the Art|Sci Collective.
