Photography and Poetry Book (2012)
Preface
I have been fascinated by skies and clouds for quite a while now...I just love the sublime colours they produce and how unusual they can be. There are some amazing cloud formations that make a most perfect picture. In fact, I believe a lot of people take them for granted and just see the weather as a default topic of conversation. I mean, go outside take a good look at the sky. I dare you. What have you got to lose? Nothing.
In fact, in my opinion, we get offered a free magnificent art painting for us to look at, and it is different everyday of the year. I admit, some days are more interesting than others; but I believe that much like art it does not take anything away but in return gives so much.
Like Alfred Kreymborg said: "The sky is like a parchment in which the sun and the moon keep their diary"
This book follows the diary of a sky. That sky?
I have the privilege of saying that the sky was the
ever-changing view from my bedroom window in Exeter when I resided there over the course of a year.
This book has a selection of some of my favourite photographs that I have taken. They portray how diverse and colourful skies can be. I strongly believe that they can change how one feels and perceives their day.
Furthermore; I have also put some inspirational quotes and poems (from famous individuals to me), to make the experience that much more engaging and pleasant. I hope you find it a feast for the eyes as well as for the mind.
